Spots&Stripes

Hola! While I was running around finishing up last minute details for my soiree tonight (which you will see plenty of pictures of!) when I thought I'd post a picture of my nails today! These were super easy to do! I'll did was paint my nails black except for my ring finger white. Then I took a skinny nail brush and painted the white lines across the black painted nails. After I took a tooth pick dipped in black to put the spots on the white nail. Hope you like it! If any of you have nail are you would like featured send it my way! Have a fabulous day!

Newspaper Nails

These are all the rage right now! So quick, so easy, and so very impressive! First find a font/style of type on a newspaper you like. Cut small strips out of the news paper that are big enough to cover your nails. Shape and file your nails till they are just the way you like! Paint them with a base and 2 or more coats of color. Let them dry completely. Once they are dry pour a little bit of alcohol in a small glass dish. One finger at a time, dip your nail in the alcohol for 10-15 seconds. Quickly grab a piece of newspaper and firmly press it on your nail. You want to do this step fairly fast, if you press it on too long the nail polish will stick to the paper and come off. Roll your finger as you gently pull the news paper off the nail. AMAZING! The text from the paper sticks to your polish. Continue doing each finger until all your nails are covered in text. It might take a few tries to get this down, but once you get the hang of it...EASY!!

Origin of Symmetry Nails!

Just what it says! I decided to show some pride for R&L...let me know if you would like to see the products I used! Enjoy!

1. Apply your base coat
2. Two coats of whatever background color you find fitting for OOS!
3. Find a skinny brush bottle of black nail polish and make three straight lines to represent the poles
4. Use the same skinny black brush to finish off the OOS forks!

Very simple! Have fun with this!

NAILS! Union Jack!

If you didn't know...I am a huge fun of the British Culture so I decided how better to show my pride then to do the Union Jack on my nails! Was rather easy here's the steps to achieve this great look!
1. Apply your base coat
2. Two layers of a deep blue nail polish (I used Cerulean Seascape by Finger Paints)
3. Make a thick red cross covering your entire nail with a skinny bruhed red paint (I used Red by Stripe Rite)
4. Trace the edges of the cross with a skinny brushed white paint (I used White by Stripe Rite)
5. Make red diagonal lines with the red skinny brush to form an X under your exsisting cross
6. Trace the edges of the new X with the white skinny brush
7. Make any necessary touch-ups
8. Apply top coat!

GOOD LUCK!
