Gowns&Graduations

The entire clan!

My little sister and the graduate!

The detailing is SICK.

What a winner.

Hallo! (Afrikaans) I haven't posted in a couple of days...shame on me! I've been working with my mother and a great team of ladies to set up for my brother's graduation! Goodness is he getting old! The graduates all looked fabulous in their red and white gowns. The ceremony was short&sweet...as they should be! I'm sure I'm not the only one attending various graduations and graduation parties. Such a fun and stressful time! Pictures 3-6 are close ups of my outfit for the evening. I LOVE LOVE LOVE that freakin' jacket! It's surprisingly comfortable and gurantees a few turned heads! I got mine off of Mod Cloth but I'm not entirely sure if they still have them in stock. Anyway, Happy Graduation season to all!

What the room looked like before we set up!

Guten Tag! So today I'm posting about my Graduation Soiree last night! It was an intimate group of about 30 of my closest friends and family. We danced, sang, drank, and ate LOTS of sushi! Seriously if you're in the Chicago area and are looking for a great place to go for sushi...go to SushiSamba. Their Yellow tail Tacos are to DIE for. All in all it was a fantastic night! I could bore you with stories but I'll just let the pictures do the talking! Enjoy!

Spots&Stripes

Hola! While I was running around finishing up last minute details for my soiree tonight (which you will see plenty of pictures of!) when I thought I'd post a picture of my nails today! These were super easy to do! I'll did was paint my nails black except for my ring finger white. Then I took a skinny nail brush and painted the white lines across the black painted nails. After I took a tooth pick dipped in black to put the spots on the white nail. Hope you like it! If any of you have nail are you would like featured send it my way! Have a fabulous day!

Cupcakes&Combat Boots

How freakin' adorable is that?

My new friend at Sugar Monkey Cupcake

Bonjour! Hope everyone is well! Today you are seeing pictures from my trip to Sugar Monkey Cupcakes. Let me tell you, cake is out and cupcakes are IN (I would know that because I am an AVID food network watcher). This little stores cupcakes are unbelievable! I tried a PB&J cupcake that I planned on taking a picture of but couldn't because it was in my stomach before I even had the chance to grab my camera. They were so delicious that I decided to order 36 on the spot for a party I'm hosting this weekend. Those I will actually take pictures of! Anyway, I did have the opportunity to snap a few pictures of my outfit today! It's hot hot hot in Chicago...sleveless was a must! I hope you all treat yourself to something sweet today! TopShop Personal Shopping

Hello all! How are we today? Well today I am posting a few pictures from my experience at TopShop Personal Shopping. Such a cute area to experiment with a few different items of clothing. I got to see how they run the PS and got to try a hand at it myself. However the best part was when they told me I could take home that coral number you see above you! Such lovely ladies! To schedule an appointment at your nearest Topshop simply go to their website and make the call to the store! You won't regret it! PS. Sorry for the quality of the pictures...left my camera in the car, had to use my iphone! Which reminds me...follow me on instagram @MAWisted

Yes indeed that is An ARCTIC MONKEYS shirt!! Huge fan of the good ol' Chilly Chimps!

So today I went to this AMAZING little restaurant called Bien Trucha with my momsicle. We had fish tacos, a very funky waiter, she had a watermelon margarita, and I had a hibiscus iced tea (which was out of this world). All together a fantastic Tuesday lunch! We finished it off with a little shopping...of course.

Newspaper Nails

These are all the rage right now! So quick, so easy, and so very impressive! First find a font/style of type on a newspaper you like. Cut small strips out of the news paper that are big enough to cover your nails. Shape and file your nails till they are just the way you like! Paint them with a base and 2 or more coats of color. Let them dry completely. Once they are dry pour a little bit of alcohol in a small glass dish. One finger at a time, dip your nail in the alcohol for 10-15 seconds. Quickly grab a piece of newspaper and firmly press it on your nail. You want to do this step fairly fast, if you press it on too long the nail polish will stick to the paper and come off. Roll your finger as you gently pull the news paper off the nail. AMAZING! The text from the paper sticks to your polish. Continue doing each finger until all your nails are covered in text. It might take a few tries to get this down, but once you get the hang of it...EASY!!
